Two practice session videos are available for download:
Direct download links on dhool (low qual):
(1) aadhi manidhan - http://www.dhool.com/ms/msps1.wmv
(2) kaatru veLiyidai - http://www.dhool.com/ms/msps2.wmv
Rapidshare links for high qual clips:
(1) Kaatru veLiyidal kaNNammaa: http://rapidshare.de/files/4799428/Prac-kaatru.mpg.html
(2) aadhi manithan: http://rapidshare.de/files/4800840/Prac-aadhi.mpg.html
These files are on rapidshare servers. Once you click the link, it takes you to a page where it asks for "free" or "premium" account. choose "free". It asks you to wait for some seconds. Please wait. Once the waiting time is over, the link for download appears. Do a "save target as".
However there is a limitation that rapidhsare servers do not allow you to download more than 20 MB within an hour. My suggestion would be to to download the low quality clips first and high qual clips later.
Hi MS,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your experiences with one of legends of Indian Film music.
Over the last few months I've been a frequent visitor to the amateur composer thread at the TFM site and have been reading the old posts and also saw that you've been an active member of that thread; but did not realize that you were singing at this level. I liked your version of "Sindipogum Mugilae" and another song based on Hindolam. Why don't you start an audio blog ?. Also, please do upload any other vidoes of PS that you might have.
When you get the chance, please do visit my site and would appreciate your feedback. I would really like to have a critical review of my work. Please feel free to comment.

Well done Murali,

Thenraja,
Thanks a lot. I could read all the 11 pages of MS in the PDF (?) form. Photos I could not see.
Mr.Murali, I am very very ....much jealous on you. Who will get such a chance to sing with the living legend? I sing everyday with her in a sing along mode ( TV or tape. I will be TMS singing with PS).The difficulties you encountered were explained in a lovely and lively manner. Being a singer without any carnatic back, I can realise the difficulties of classical singers in adapting to cine songs. The carnatic touch will come. The "ragamaliga" program in Jaya TV is a classic example.Once again, thanks for the write up.It was a live commentary. Please reply to this MS.
I am waiting for such a chance in Chennai.Gopalraj, who was very unfortunate to listen to my song, only should help.

Murali,
What a blessed soul you are... One in million gets such an
opportunity and it is good that you were able to be part of it.
Thanks for an excellent followup writing. The writeup style (first
person) is also very enjoyable.
