Lalita Venkatraman - Fusion of 8 classical dances

Lalita performed a fusion of 8 classical dance forms of India for the Sydney Malayali Radio association. In this dance she has tried to bring some elements of the various classical dance forms of India.

The first portion of music is from the famed Desh thillana of shri Lalgudi Jayaraman. The second portion of the music based on vande Mataram was composed and arranged by Murali. The third piece of music is from Ganesh-Kumaresh.

Lalita's Performance Along with Kalamandalam Kolkata

Lalita did a solo number which featured a beautiful fusion of 8 classical dance forms of India for Bengali Association of New South Wales (BANSW) on 10th Feb 2012 at Redgum Function Centre, Wentworthville, NSW.  She also performed on 26th Jan, 2012 for Australia day at the Bowman Hall, Blacktown City council which was well represented from the dignitaries of the local Indian community and Australian national politics.

Her performance along with KalamaNdalam Kolkata was well received and a photo of her performance was published by the local news paper Blacktownsun.  Another Indo-Australian newpaper Indoaustimes also featured her in their online video content which is provided above
