Lalita has a PhD in statistics and an MA degree in
Classical Indian Dance. She is currently working as a quantitative analyst for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Lalita has performed in India, USA and Australia at various prestigious avenues and has taught many students. She currently runs Kalaarchana - an Indian classical dance school in Sydney

- Arangetram (1993) under Guru P.N. Rajalaksmi.
- Bachelor of Dance (1992) in Vazhuvoor Style from Art Society Mumbai, India.

- Vazhuvoor style with Padmashri Chitra Visveswaran.
- Kalakshetra style with renowned Gurus M.V. Narasimhachari and Vasanthalakshmi Narasimhachari.
