Audio post - Neelavaana Odaiyil

Got inspired to sing this beautiful song. Have tried to do as much as SPB has done. Towards the end I loosened myself a little bit and sang some improvised stuff.

  1. Lovely song..and beautifully sung. :) Could feel a slight stress and pressure in the initial part. And the volume jumped a bit in between. Not sure if its my speaker.

But you did well.. it was nice and clear.. Neat. !!

Jee.. whats up with the blog world.. happening happening !!.. Good for me :P

I will be back to dormancy for a while. The accumulated musical pressure has been released. Until it further accumulates, I shall work on thesis :)

  5. Very beautifully sung. Like the way your voice scales different pitches without any strain showing.

1st charanam mudinji varra "Neela vaana" is most pleasant to hear!

Humble suggestion: Tempo konjam ange inge miss aagudhu, paathukkonga.

I did not really confine myself to a tempo. It is a relaxed or freewheeling rendition , as you may call. But may be in future, I shall adhere to a tempo to give a fuller feeling.

    Ganesh:

It is really a wonderful effort on your side to write about Jay. I did look into it. Thanks.

  8. Nicely sung Murali.! I didn't notice any pisiru.!

Great song. SPB commented on this song here: He praised Gangai Amaran for the composition and said that people didn't believe that he did this.!! They thought IR did this.! But.....he said..it was indeed Gangai's composition.

  10. Murali, you really rock. I have on and off listened to your singing and I guess with the discovery of more talent like Jay, Jo, Prem and a whole lot, we have a great team here. I told Narayananji about this over email and Ganesh is a good friend who lives ten minutes from my place (we've met several times). Can you do me a small favor? I need to send a blogger invitation to your email address (this is for a group blog on music) and you can first send me an email to my indusguy Gmail account and I'll then send you this invitation. Thx.

  13. wow. i am discovering a lot of musical talent in these blogs. Murali, your voice is wonderful. When i heard this voice, i dunno why but it reminded me of SPB's "illamai idho". I think that song would sound wonderful if rendered by you.

  14. You dont have to post this...Murali
This is one of my favorite songs...but it looks like humming in the beginning before the "ahah" starts, you seem to have sung the starting for "chinnanchiru vayadil" - a very tiny bit different but could catch it...but excellent rendition...you have one of my favorite collections of tamilsongs beautifully rendered
