Audio post - Flute piece - My first tryst with sequencing in Motif ES

Two months after its arrival, I finally found time time and touched the beauty that is MOTIF ES. The stunning sounds urged me to compose at least a small piece. And here is the flute piece is shudhdha saaveri ragam. Just a "ching chak" with flute and piano. This may be considered a prelude to the music that I may be composing in the future.

Very refreshing..! I too felt it could have been a little longer.

By the way, could you write something on how to interpret Carnatic notes such as S1, G2..etc. etc to western notations? I want to learn Carnatic Ragas from the web and they all show N3, G2 and so on...I have no clues.

    Thanks in advance.

thanks. The last time I heard, anybody except Hariharan charges Rs 10,000 for a song. That is the market rate. Hariharan charges 50,000 it seems.

  11. Good one...must say 'short & sweet'. Reminds me of a mallu song "Mizhi ariyaathe vannu" frm the movie 'Niram'.

  12. Felt very Eastern (the chinese lady upstairs was probably swaying when I played this, i could hear her stomps...so much for living in cardboard boxes!).

Well done! gives a fresh feeling..as if i am standing in a valley, and the cool breeze has just brought a light fragrance of fresh tea leaves.

Nice piece...one suggestion from a listener's (layman's) perspective. Try the same piece with a reduced tempo?
    Just a suggestion...
    Cheers,
