Chinnamani kuyile

The movie amman kOvil kizakkalE was studded with stunning and beautiful songs. This was the most popular number from that movie. The effervescent voice of SPB appropriately catpured in a superb tune by Maestro Ilaiyaraja . This song is one of the defining examples of usage of folk music in films. I had earlier tried the more complex and classical unpaarvaiyil Oraayiram. Aravind had tried kaalai nERa poonguyil in his blog. Here is chinnamanik kuyile from me.

Song : ChinnamanikkuyilE
Singer : SPB
Composer : Ilaiyaraja
Movie : amman kOvil kizakkaalE

Performed by : Murali

  2. Well done Murali..I've always enjoyed listening to this song..The flow is superb. The beats, the instruments etc.

You've done a lot of justice to the song. Where is the Karaoke from? Or did you make it yourself??

  3. At end of charanam...seemed you wanted to finish off too fast..Also you have a very good karaoke there. So why did you keep it so low? Your voice has more voulme than the karaoke and is not balanced...Could u increase the karaoke volume a little more? That would give more involvement to your vocal with the track....
You have sung this very well in your own style.

  4. Murali:

Not an easy song, you have sung it very well. This song has some great rhyming lyrics and you have maintained the flow. Karoke volume konjam low. Overall, it sounds great..Next I am going to try "kada veedhi kalakalakkum" from the same movie..Just kidding :-)

    Hi again Murali!!!!

it is great to hear ur voice. why do you only like SPB why not a shankar mahadevan, why not a TMS.

You seem to be very famous having got too many link friends. Why not also try some thing to help the people of tamil nadu rather than only helping Tamil language.

    MS,

For a Shankar Mahadevan song you should try thaniye thannanthaniyE OR sandhana thendralai jannalgaL.....Both have very good tracks. If you want to reduce the scale, you can do it through audacity.

I think both these songs will sound good in your voice.

  17. Nice singing, I like the tune. I see a big difference since ‘Barse Badariya’ (I mean singing). Your voice has come across nice and clear, but I think music should be louder. There is a small dialogue going on between a singer and the flutist, and that needs to be heard; If not at the time of you singing at least when just the music is going on. I know it’s a ‘Mixing’ job but for veteran of audio blogger like you should be able to do it easily.

  19. Hi G,

I think sandhana thendralai can definitely be attempted. ThaniyE will lacerate the vocal chords if I dont reduce the pitch.

Kaushiji - veteran banaa diya aapne mujhko :) mixing shd have been better. will esnure in future.
